Most likely a Problem. Just give him an arrow to the knee and he'll be fine. |

Wipe out the game disk and then draw a trollface on the back. Or take a screenshot of the game when he goes to get up, take out the game disk, insert bologna into the disk drive, hide the disk, as well as leave the screenshot image up on the computer. |

Sure sounds such as a problem to me. Basically, he's badly addicted to gaming - which is not the worst addiction somebody can have, but it suggests that he's going to be very susceptible for the rest of his life to addictive behavior, whether that takes the form of gambling, obsessive work, or heroin. And he's actively avoiding the rest of his life: avoidant behavior suggests that he's not properly motivated, which can lead to all types of problems in the future. Since he's living under your roof (as a minor?), perhaps there's some parenting you could attempt - such as limiting his daily access to his PC or console if he's a minor. If this is an adult child, you really would do better through him to ask him to leave the house rather than enable his addiction. |

The game is a very involved game, lots of fun and addicting. I think this could be a problem so I think it would be wise of you to regulate how much he gets to play in a day. Say such as two hours of game play a day on school days and maybe four to five on weekends. The addiction he has needs to be broken cause if he continues this it will tech him not to be responsible for his life. Right now he is living through the game and this is not healthy. |
